I thumbed through my dad's summit catalog and noticed that alot of cars have heavier flywheel upgrades. I asked my dad, who used to be a hardcore drag racer, about it. He explained his point of view. Which is the heavier ones are easier to launch and the revs don't drop as much between shifts beacuse of inertia. I also see alot of stock turbo z's 1/4 mile times in the 12's, and I'm fairly sure they're using stock flywheels. So i wonder strictly for drag racing is the heavier flywheel better?
